Support Staff Bill of Rights and Responsibilities 1. The Health Matters staff member has the right to be treated with dignity and respect by all clients they service. Clients with mental health issues are a separate issue. To also be respected by other members of Health Matters staff. 2. The Health Matters staff member has the right to request help if the job is too large or strenuous to be done independently, and not to be judged negatively for requesting help. 3. The Health Matters staff member has the right to discuss situations, problems or make complaints regarding working conditions or clients, and to be offered assistance in a supportive manner. 4. The Health Matters staff member has the right to be provided with adequate and appropriate orientation by Health Matters staff or appointed trainees when beginning employment and to continue training to enhance and refine their skills, throughout the duration of their employment. 5. The Health Matters staff member has the right to always expect full support from other Health Matters staff. 6. The Health Matters staff member has the right to understand that all personal information will be kept strictly confidential and only observed by Human Resources and management of Health Matters. 7. The Health Matters staff member has the right to appeal to Health Matters management or Directors regarding employment or working conditions. 8. The Health Matters staff member has the right to be employed regardless of race, colour, sex or religion. Please contact us for further information. |
